Room tempereature

   I was submerging my self inside a blue coloured water inside an old bath tub.I stayed inside  the half-cold water for more than an hour with closed eye and tried to communicate through my silence and slight natural reactions created by the coldness of the water affecting my body. during this performance I  experimented minimalist approach to achieve a direct connection and give a chance for the audiences to imagine their own version of story within my performance.during the performance I was meditating about different events
and topics including the current Ethiopian water politics, Global climate change in relation to ocean pollution, refugee crisis and some scientific aspects of water.Beside this I was also contemplating abou my holy baptism as a 13 year old boy, which is considered as  an important spiritual transition in Protestant religion. This performance piece was performed as part of Netsa Art Village group exhibition in French Cultural Institute in Addis Ababa On October 2019, during the the exhibition opening.
